Tell Me… How To Get Rid of Eczema!
If you are asking this question than there is no need to get into a lengthy discussion about what eczema is… you already know. If you are not sure there are other pages on this site that can fill you in. So back to the original question- how to get rid of eczema…
Suffering from any stress? Stress management can go a long way at improving your skin’s health. Breaking down your immune system with stress is something you will need to limit or stop all together. Stress can come in many different colors, from how you react to things when they are not perfect to getting to much exposure to chemicals like bleach or the sun’s rays. Stress is something different for each individual so you will have to identify yours.
Diet… are you eating healthy? I don’t mean a “healthy eater”… overeating is also a form of stress… see the above paragraph
By eating quality and not quantity you can give your body the vitamins and nutrients need to not only repair damaged skin but to keep it smooth and beautiful. Be sure to eat plenty of yellow and green vegetables and drink plenty of water… dump the sodas!
Use moisturizers, especially after a shower. A hot shower will actually dry out your skin and then you will take it one step further by drying off with a towel. Cooler showers and lightly patting dry, then apply moisturizer while your skin is still semi- damp. This will retain moisture in the skin and protect it from your daily activities.
Avoid tight fitting clothing that irritates your skin. Loose clothing is also cooler (temperature wise) and this will slow down excess sweating and further irritation of your skin.
It really boils down to good old common sense. Preventive measures included with natural healing methods will take care of even the most stubborn eczema. Stay away from prescription drugs if at all possible unless an emergency to get things back under control. A doctor that is a skin specialist is also a good idea.
A little progress each and every day is the key. Learning how to get rid of eczema is not all that hard if you put your mind to it… maybe you will also be able to help someone else overcome this hurtle also.
